i think its a poor choice of wording, but moreover, i think it only glosses over the terrible atrocities that were done to the native american population before and after the war. by this point in history, native americans were already being pushed out of their lands, reservations were being made, as well as native american "white" schools, among other things like the trail of tears and complete massacres of tribes. this is definitely right after the reunification of the US, so andrew jackson is yet to be in power, but these things were already happening before his presidency.
And apparently its also right after the civil war took place too like im not america so correct me on this one, but isnt it correct that both sides were bad and benefited from slave exploitation ? Even the “lesser evil” side?
Yeah idk how shes gonna pull this one out
I do hope she has made her research and will address this properly through the work
????? I never said it was ok? Do you have any reading skills? I literally just said it would depend on how the author would portray this. “ I do think that the way she will portray it will determine that. I think there are ways to approach this… but most of it times it does end up being racist and problematic. We are walking a fine line here ” read my comment again you fucking psycho. And you have no idea about my race or where im from. May the universe give you back all the negative energy you put out there and all the harm you wish upon others.
Never for one second did i condone slavery or racism, never did i say that was ok. There are many pieces of media out there that manage to approach this in a correct and sensitive way, DEPENDING ON THE APPROACH.
All i said was that it could be the case here or not. I understand how this is a complex topic and i relate to the concern at hand, but going around accusing others of thinking “ the potrayal between a white slave master confederate ass nigga x a native american man is ok” , proceeding to call them white (i am literally black myself, guess what, slavery has happened all over the world, including in my country, and black ppl also exist outside the us) and then proceeding to wish harm things on me for trying to explain this is some serious shit

jaxx is a great story teller but i feel like shes biting off more than she can chew on this. like seriously? a native american slave?? my god. i can only hope she took At Least a college level US history course on this.
