Or if they wish their voices are heard by the author, hope they're not aggressive because afterall author is still human, if she lacks enough knowledge on history, I think teaching people knowledge in a calm manner is a proper way to do it. I understand what your saying but I think the author should’ve educated her self before hand, this story obviously brushes on sensitive topics and it can offend people who are of color & even people who aren’t. so before writing stories like these, the author should’ve throughly researched. But yes, I do agree the author shouldn’t face harassment, but she should also try to cater towards her audience and listen to their voices.

Criticism of how that’s handled is definitely fair.
This is still only the first chapter, so it makes more sense to discuss the content rather than attacking each other... If it’s not your thing, it’s better to drop it than turn the discussion into hostility.
People can critique the work, but it shouldn’t turn into harassment or racism, it makes you no better than the author. Speaking of the author, she doesn’t care if her work offends others. As long as she’s getting money & engagement.
