Wow, sad and real.

I mean, the other morning was somehow natural, but here, Enzo’s innocence is so fake. He’s just playing hot and cold.
And Rian understands very well how dangerous he is. I mean, based on the facts that WE know:
- There were surgeons at the parking lot, meaning he would likely go through with his threat if Rian hadn’t go with the flow.
- He kidnapped Rian’s friend, a little bit for business, mostly to use as a hostage against Rian.
- He ripped out the tongue of his secretary (fuckbuddy?) for stealing information from him, something he had manipulated the poor guy into doing.
- He threatened to break his partner’s ribs more than once, later claiming it was merely dirty talk, after enjoying the submission the threat brought with it.
- He killed his own employees, well, temporary since they were originally from Outfit, for dismissing his orders by merely scratching his possible-future-lover’s face!
- And he’s so damn shameless with lies of omission through allllll that. He said the video was from a week earlier, and Shadow was probably wherever he wanted to be, but didn’t mention that he only ordered his release that morning, after Rian let him treat him however he wanted.
We can see how cautious Rian is being here, despite the fake calm front Enzo’s putting on, since he’s not even sure if the psycho won’t ice him once he’s not needed anymore as the Connector. So, their situation feels entirely under Enzo’s manipulation, ‘make yourself at home’ and the rest of that is just bs coming out of his pretty mouth to keep Rian where he wants, how he wants.
The silver lining: He’s gonna regret it so bad ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

Totally ! He looked so broken and lifeless that morning, as if he had no will left. Seeing him act so unbothered afterward felt more like a coping mechanism, like a way to hide just how badly him being r*ped non-stop during the whole night had affected him.
Their sexual tension, the push-and-pull between them, and the dynamic that made them so interesting have completely disappeared. They feel like strangers compared to who they were in Season 1.
I really hope Enzo pays for what he's done, because if Rian just falls in love with him after all this, with no repercussions, change, genuine remorse, accountability, or growth, then it's safe to say the story has become ass tbh !
I hate how broken Rian looks in this chapter.
During the night and even in the morning when he woke up, the usual glint in his eyes is completely gone, except maybe for the part when Enzo asked for a kiss (and he didn't even look so eager to return it). He clearly knew what happened wasn't sex. He didn't enjoy it at all— if anything that scene when he was going to jerk to Enzo tells us that Enzo didn't manage to make him come that night, not even once. Not even from the back. Maybe Enzo deliberately missed the spot, again.
It feels way worse than their first time because at first, at least, the anger was there. Adrian was angry enough to slap Enzo in the morning. Angry enough to complain about how shitty Enzo was despite knowing it was his first. But now, in ch 34, he was just, breaking. Silently. Rian just swallowed everything and recalibrated himself to go back to business. I think Rian is bidding his time, betting on whether he will succeed the mission first or is it Enzo that would be breaking him into complete submission.
This makes me sure we really are in for a long run in this push and pull dynamic, Hanse-nim is still working on the running path. but it still frustrates me that for someone who seems like he fell harder, Enzo sure doesn’t hold back in hurting Rian. I’m all in for making this playboy to open up and truly fall for you Enzo, but why can't you make him submit through pleasure instead of pain? Why don't you ‘punish’ Rian with so much bliss that any other touch just won't do, for him? For someone who went as far as killing his subordinates for a little scratch on Rian’s face, Enzo can't even kiss Rian enough to alleviate his pain during the intercourse. Rian is one hell of a playboy, for sure, but at least he never hurt his partners.
It's gonna be a long marathon, so I just hope that Rian gonna came up as the one who hold the 24k gold medal. Enzo deserved to be left in the dust and stumble to Rian’s feet with his pretty little face planted on the ground.
