it's incredibly frustrating, but that's how it is for people with no skin in the game (and some who do, but are deluded). they can be as obtuse as they want. explain what you can for people acting in good faith, and cut your losses with the trolls and racists/racial supremacists.

I think just need to make a server where both sides can understand each other’s pov. No arguing just a debate between this whole situation. Some people saying that romanticizing the mafia is bad and I understand that with Under The Greenlight. But I’m also on the side where this book in itself is a bit distasteful, as a poc myself I think there is a difference between modern day racism and old racism. And since this story takes place back when slavey and all that was considered okay it throws me off.
