oh so it's racist
the setting and themes centre around slavery and war in the late 1800s which harbours a horrifyingly amount of depth of history (oppression, slavery as mentioned, white supremacy, genocide, racism, etc)
with how the mc is introduced, it kinda felt like jaxx wanted the audience to view him kinda pitifully. and then we have the ml's introduction, which is basically what solidfied this series as a disaster
especially with the last panel, "im your humble slave, master". is absolutely horrid to have a poc character say.
tldr: the preview introduced the story horribly due to the setting revolving around slavery, and the slave/master dynamic between the two leads
Not exactly racist but insensitive to real life historical events, it's like korean slave x japanese slave master during the imjin or sino japanese war.
It's not something to fantasize about, bcs they were real victims and lives lost.
