Why has this been cancelled. I just read ch1 and he set some slaves free. Is that controversial? Did something else happen to warrant a cancellation??
I mean we have so many tv shows about slavery and war so I really dont understand why this received critism

I don’t understand why you people are so okay with romanticizing a painful and disgusting past when it comes to black and brown people. Let this story have been about a Japanese soldier in WW2 with a Korean man, or a Nazi German and a Jew in the Holocaust, and all hell would break loose. It is NOT your place to question why this was cancelled. It’s disgusting you even thinking this story should go on.

Its in my place to question if i want to understand the issues and the logic. That is how people learn. If you are going to judge anybody for trying to educate themselves about issues involved and the logic for cancelation then you can FUCK OFF.

And as a south african i understand the past when it comes to black and brown people. I am more aware of the issues than you.

I still dont understand the issue here because dramas (films/tv series) have been made featuring romantic relationships in settings of slavery as well as holocaust. I didnt see any romanticising of slavery in ch1.

Why ? Do you want to be offended by that comment???

There are people who are supporting and cheering on the genocide of Palestinians and where children are being targeted, their is a genocide going on in Sudan and Congo. So much suffering but this is what gets your attention.

Let me humour you. He didnt free some slaves, He freed his slaves. Does that grammar work better for you? Do you feel less offended now?

That sentence, or changing my sentence does not have any effect on my view slavery, genocide, or any other abuses on human rights.

So fuck off and get some perspective on what you should get offended by.
