To me, the beauty of this story is that it isn’t a regression or a time reversal, nor a transmigration. The events that happen have happened and the past isn’t being rewritten. Her growth may be slow but considering she lost her parents very early and was subjected to emotional abuse that bound her to cling to her uncle and his family, it would be strange for her to do a complete 180; unless she was a completely different person.
Another bonus for me is that she isn’t clinging to the ML. She is forging her own path and attempting to change by herself.
All in all, realistically, it would take time for her to get revenge. Her reputation was maliciously compromised and her opponent is dubbed the “Golden Rose of Genoa”. It is easy to see whom people would be likely to believe. Patience isn’t just a virtue for her, she will need to wholly embody it to deal with her uncle and his family.
I do hope the author for this gets the chance to flesh out the revenge and not have it nipped in the bud due to budget constraints. I hope even more that the source material fulfils what it set up to do and is executed well.
All in all, a great read so far. Just remember, revenge is a dish best served cold. When their guard is down, that’s when MC strikes and it will be crushing and satisfying, I believe.
To me she is slowly improving her standing in society right now. What other thing do you expect her to do? No one would believe her right now if she told anyone what actually happened and she does not have any connections to take revenge. People would just say she has gone crazy and Bella would play the poor Damsel again. The fl is playing the long con and that takes time, she can’t let herself be distracted just by the thought of revenge, she is trying to build a life for herself slowly and steadily pushing back against her oppressors
I know everyone is talking about the ml but honestly the fl is the one I'm on the fence about. The summary and the way she got angry after finding out the truth made me expect a proper revenge story of her trying to bring down her uncle's family, instead she's just as meek as she was before except she's a little more confident? I didn’t need a complete personality change but it seemed like her anger lasted for 2.5 seconds and then nothing also she's not plotting revenge, trying to expose her family or clear her name. Despite that I still like the story the fl and the ml but I guess this will be a slow story?
