woah woah calm your tits girl, I literally agree with their decision to step away from it because I also don't want any depictions of slavery and I understand my enjoyment of a work fiction isn't more important than the real people affected.
with that being said, I don't think it's a bad idea nor should it bother anyone if they decided to change or overhaul the story and remove the problematic parts ? (the mc background, the era, the race dynamics) also wdym the theme itself is racist ? are movies, games and stories set in the wild west with cowboy aesthetics, inherently racist now even if they don't depict any form of slavery ?
seriously though I get it and appreciate that she took it down, but maan I really hope that reworking it is not off the table, I like the character designs and the Wild West setting.
If she said the direction and the themes of the story are different from what we're concerned about and it's ignorable to a point then surely it's not that hard to rewrite them and create a refurbished work right ? I'm literally crying My delulu self can only hope so much
