Love it...glad you did decide to comment. I do agree that if the author really wanted this to work out well, they should've presented this with the care and sensitivity it actually deserves. The first impression of this manhwa is really not up to the mark but considering that they HAVE pulled off a story with huge age gap and a story which shows the reality of porn industry, I didn't want to judge them based on one singular chapter even though the stakes were far more higher. You are definitely right about things.
Honestly I wasn’t planning on commenting since we r literally on a pirated website but these people are pissing me off. Why are we so leaning on to good and bad and not even considering an inch of the grey area?
As a person who does not relate and have history with the context and themes of this BL, JAXX was totally wrong for that. And for not even considering how this first chapter might come across to their global (especially POC) audience. If JAXX had truly been working deeply with this story than they should have considered how insensitive it may be.
BUT the people in this comment section and other social media who are GOING TO WAR.
I saw someone wishing rape on fujoshis cuz some readers were mad this got cancelled. I'm sorry, WTF IS UR PROBLEM?
I also saw a comment about how this is a lesson about “do not judge a book by its cover” i get that. but if JAXX had truly been working their ass off this story, and want to portray and utilize these characters in a different light, than they should have given more time to think about that first chapter. As an author/artist you cannot just tread this particular topic lightly, it should be done with thoughtfulness. I am not part of the affected community in any way so I cannot say if JAXX’s apology was sufficient. But in my opinion it was.
I also agree with the comment that said that readers would tolerate rape and toxic relationships as entertainment. I do think the people who were angry that this story got cancelled were not thinking thoroughly. People who wished death or any other profane things to the people who “got the story cancelled” was just straight up lazy and ignorant. Please educate yourselves.
I can't tolerate how disgusting and toxic some people here are.
I really appreciate the ones who take time to educate people and not call them names.

JAXX is Korean. And if they wished to delve into these topics they should have educated themselves better or collaborated with POC authors/artists for feedback.
This is not a reason for some of u heinous people to spread such disgusting and vile comments. If you want to not support them, then do not. Please be mindful of your words and comments. Just because we are anonymous, does not give you the right wish death/rape to anyone.
