This a good explanation but let me tell you why people kept saying "I don't see the plot anymore" the first few chapters were actually great I'm gonna tell you that. But then when we got in the middle everything was ALMOST SEX! and that was so tiring to see every single time.
People won't even see the plot no more cause there's alot of smut like alooooott that you get tired of it. Of course that's why people would think that, I mean sex for almost every situation are we deadass? They fell down and got injured and then after a few moments they f*ck? That would make people say "wtf again?" It's always smut till it makes people forget about the plot cause that's what they always see. It gave vibes that its just for gooning and fan service that's why people got a lot of ick. Honestly I got tired too because of that. Like almost half of the chapters are sex and now they're continuing back to the plot.
I'm glad that I'm starting to see some developments cause what I kept seeing was not development at all but SEX! Of course wouldn't you expect your readers to think that? That's why so many people hated it.
Good start but then smut and lots of sex half the chapters was the downfall of this manga.

No, it's not. The story has had a pretty consistent smut to plot ratio throughout, so I don't see where people would get the idea that it became "almost all sex".
Again, lots of sex doesn't equal little or no plot. It's not the story's fault if people were to distracted by the smut to pay attention to the plot developments that were, in fact, still happening.
Again that what we see most of the time thus people wouldn't even notice the plot anymore. Cause that's what the author wanted us to "see" ╮(￣ へ ) they focus to much on sex if you notice that, if they really wanted us to FOCUS on something then don't make it too much about sex

I'm not hating on this manga, merely just saying my perspective and what the people's perspective would have been. So I'm happy it did got development after a few more chapters since I dropped this along time ago and came read the lastest chapter. It true that it may be our fault for not noticing but the first few chapters was almost sex, and it's also true that author introduced the manga with too much sex in the first and mid chapters. I guess this makes me look stupid now? Nice talk.
I'm not saying you or anyone else is stupid, dude. People are allowed to feel however they like, and if they felt there was too much sex that's fine. But acting like it's a fact or blaming the author is ridiculous.
There are stories that are all smut with no substance, and stories that just happen to have a lot of smut. Authors should be able to write the latter without people completely ignoring the plot then complaining that it's the former.
And for the record, I like both types. I like this series because it has so much smut, but I also appreciate the story that goes along with it. For me, if I don't vibe with a story for whatever reason, I just stop reading and look for something I'll actually enjoy. I don't see the point being negative in the comments of something I personally didn't like.

Cain was literally in the first chapter when Alec and Loneal were having tea, acting all shady about Loneal being close to Alec. That was plot. Cain attacking Loneal in the forest, saying he "betrayed them" and was supposed to be the Prince's enemy, then Alec saving Loneal, was plot. There was boning after that, but the plot still happened.
Cain almost killing Alec and Loneal saving him this time when they went to get the love potion ingredients was plot. Smut happening before and after that event doesn't negate the plot.
Zeno approaching Loneal and starting their fake friendship was plot. Everything that happened during summer vacation was plot. The school festival was plot. Zeno's schemes in recent chapters are the result of plot points that had been building from day one when he was first introduced. Just because smut happened frequently throughout these events doesn't mean the plot was non-existent.
Everything having to do with the Holy Bride is plot, and it's been there from the beginning.
The incident that occurred when Alec and Loneal first met was already foreshadowed in the scene Loneal awakens the powers of the Holy Bride, after Alec thanks him and Loneal gets deja vu when we're shown a glimpse of a hooded black haired man thanking him. Guess what? That was Alec. That was the incident. That was plot.
After Loneal confesses to having no memories of before the accident, Alec's mumbles of "why you always tried to look so happy" and "why you always worked so hard" are relevant to the present, but it's specifically him looking back on Loneal's behaviour and words during that first meeting. Him constantly hovering around Loneal that Loneal interpreted as Alec monitoring him pre-love potion? Alec had been searching for him for months before the school year started, he even quit his knight duties and went back to school specifically because he remembered Loneal having mentioned returning to school soon. He was dead set on winning Loneal's heart before they even knew each other's names. He when he said "I've always wanted to touch you" he was NOT lying.
Alec's behaviour after the love potion was also because of "the incident". Because Loneal did the exact same thing when they first met, except that time he tripped and spilled it on him. Even the way Loneal apologized for spilling the potion was the same. When Loneal talks about going in circles after talking to Lily, Alec's reaction in that moment is because they had the same conversation when they first met. It's one of the things they'd bonded over, even if Loneal doesn't know it had been Alec back then.
Every time Alec says "you haven't changed" this is what he means. Throughout all the chapters leading up to the actual backstory from Alec's POV we already get glimpses of that moment and why he fell in love with Loneal. None of this is a sudden development, the story was already building up to it.
I'm not gonna say this is some life-changing flawless masterpiece. You can say what you want about the funky anatomy, the love potion dragging on, or Loneal's personality being annoying, but saying it's only been smut up to this point is just a straight up lie. What is happening now is literally just expanding on stuff that was already established day one. That's how stories work.
Lots of boning doesn't mean no plot.
