I agree completely. When I’m not actively looking for it and a “black flag” story is shoved in my face when it didn’t have to be, I just feel completely numb reading it. It’s not even enjoyable, just depressing.
100% u just kinda feel numb to these stories or read every story half expecting it somehow. its exhausting and, yes, never stops being disappointing. i had high hopes for this story and found it thrilling until that first rape scene. completely ruined it.
Nah fr the reason why lots of reader love to read this is because rian is a power bottom and was not scared of Enzo aka more powerful than him. Now they done made this a shit story cause they decided to make him another rape and helpless victim just like another generic manhwa.

This is no longer fun or playful. They had a cool tit-for-tat relationship where the power dynamic was never too uneven. Now, the author has completely stripped Rian of his character and complexity by making him complacent with being raped and dominated. The story has really fallen off.
I also don’t like how the BL world has been slowly introducing this trope into stories in a way that normalizes SA. Seeing how comfortable everyone is in the comments is very telling as well. There used to be a time when you could voluntarily seek out stories that were more “black flag,” but now this type of behavior has been sprinkled into almost every BL story.
NEWSFLASH: You can create depth and explore serious topics without reducing your characters *especially bottoms* into helpless, spineless victims. And what’s up with their rapist facing zero consequences? Everything just turns into sunshine and rainbows, and they live happily ever after as if the SA never happened.
It really shows a lack of care in storytelling and, honestly, reflects broader issues in today’s society. Super disappointed
