People say his reaction is unrealistic or distasteful but to me it seemed like he was putting on a show. To reassure Enzo and himself that he is still on top of his game. That Enzo is not winning anything. And that he's still his strong Casanova charismatic self. I think he firmly believes in this. I mean he is a very experienced spy. I mean yeah from a private agency instead of government but I feel like he should still have some preparation for withstanding situations that would cause ordinary civilians to be psychologically incapacitated immediately. I mean being shot at is pretty scary, people develop mental health issues from shooting incidents alone for a reason.
To me it seems like he is compartmentalizing and to him this whole situation is being done while he's on the clock. I don't think he is in a mindset where he thinks he has no absolutely no chance of winning. I think to Ryan, he's still in the game. He thinks he can flip it around(cue making a comment about enzos butt)
Also his flippant attitude is just like him. And the way he acts nonchalant after being thrown into a jarring situation by Enzo in order to establish dominance is also just Ryan to a T. I mean he was thrown naked out of the window and instead of freaking out he walked into a public space, fully naked, with a very relaxed and confident body posture and confronted Enzo. Confronting him right then and there as he was naked was not necessary at all. But he had to establish to Enzo that he was not shaken up by him at all. I mean that's just not something a normal person could do? Firstly being thrown out buck naked would already be a hell of an experience but who in the world would be able to strut back to Enzo-someone who has proven they could be extremely violent- naked and vulnerable? Uh no one. Except Ryan ig
This pattern continues here where, while lying naked on the bed after being abused, manipulated and raped makes a raunchy comment of Enzos ass to reassert his position as the confident top he knows he is. As if it erases the fact that he was forced to bottom. And also to take a jab at Enzo maybe? We've seen Ryan is doesn't play things safe and follows his heart (and dick?). I mean he got trapped because he did not escape before things got tricky. Even though he could have pulled out of the mission much sooner. Because Enzo had riled him up.
(Both Enzo and Ryan both seem to take being the top as someone with more power or control in sexual dynamics)
