Maybe unpopular opinion, but...

I'm going to still say it:
Chapter 39 read like abusive relationship. It wasn't cute. ML didn't really give any real explanation why he didn't tell about the blind date. Just something so in the situation MC would just let it go pass... Like IRL this would be full on He is cheating, of course the series probably tries to make it more complicated, but ML is manipulation MC like a full on abusive partner.
.
And I know this probably get downvoted because people here are really young and gotten use to rape in BL manhwa and stuff, so they probably can't see any social/emotional manipulation signs... But ML has suddenly become major red flag. He is controlling the relationship and is clearly lying.
Even the idea of penetration sex doesn't feel like anymore as MC's idea, now it starts to feel like that ML manipulated and guided MC into more thinking of that - because MLs behavior changed so much. Is he waiting for MC ask to be raped? (Because no way it's going to be switch.)
.
This whole series suddenly went really dark... I can't think of anything actually good coming from ML's behavior now. Well he did clearly skip school so he would be there at the same time as MC... So he does have some Yandere tendencies, but this point, I start to think he is full on Yandere and MC going to end up in some kinda cage, while ML is free to roam.
.
ML feels so unnervingly iffy right now that it's scary. It feels like series slowly might turn into horror story.

That's not ridiculous to say, it's actually something that irked me since earlier chapters because he (the ml) always had some like, manipulativeness in him.
And like, if he truly did love mc in a sincere way I think he would try to talk to him about their feelings yk, like a normal and healthy person. Even if that meant receiving a rejection.

ALSO, rape and sa culture it's becoming really normalized in the bl community right now it's actually concerning
Like jinx becoming supper popular or roses and champagne getting a rape scene out of nowhere
    It's absolute dookie smh

The communication thing, not asking about feelings... I kinda would get that part if they would still be barely adults, in high-school or something. They are young, but not that young anymore to have that conversation. Especially when ML have shown that he is socially intelligent enough.

I have said it before... When manga was on it's BL rape arc, worse introduction to yaoi we then got was Viewfinder - and it was the time when Japanese BL had the rape beak. Younger generations are introduced to BL manhwa is something like Killing Talking.

Btw... Manhwa wasn't like that with BL from the start. They violently devolved backwards while manga kept evolving upwards.

I still hold on to the theory that women in South Korea are so badly abused by men that this is their only outlet, getting men rape and abuse men.

When BL was shown bad light in manga, it felt more like it being a rule that you can't show BL in a good light culturally, it was taboo - it never went to level that clearly start to feel like some kinda grudge or revenge.
Or it didn't feel some cases something people have gotten use to being normal relationship, especially controlling and manipulation parts. Now especially those parts feels like that is how manhwa authors and their readers see the dating etc. relationships are.

It makes sense, but it's still so unhealthy in many ways because it's causing effects in young queer people outside Korea.
Because of translation and all of that, it's a really complex and sad thing honestly
