It’s set in america post civil war after slavery was abolished
that does not change anything
It’s romanticizing slavery that really happened for what reason so the point is they are writing about a topic that I really doubt they have no true knowledge on you can tell just based on on how they are writing the story
The thing is what’s wrong with this is the insensitivity that it has and the blindness of what happened during this time period and honestly if u are not black u really don’t have a say if in this cause this is not a topic you would be sensitive in this isn’t made to tell a story about slavery and problems that came out of it but a bl and a author that prolly doesn’t even know the history behind what it using
