But that would imply that they knew that she got pregnant immediately, and it's not like they knew that she will be born with the same eyes as him
So Groth SA Candelle, and what I understand from the "you weren't allowed to come near me" he was also eyeing child Brooke, so that's why Brooke didn't know about what happened to Candelle and the origin of Shuri birth. Oda have a real talent to make you hate someone so much, by using just one panel
