I'm kinda hoping he becomes her assistant doctor. But that might be hoping too much. He seems to be a bit prideful and acts a lot of fitting to the era this is imitating.
But I hope that instead staying as pining 2nd ML, and a bit of a product of his time, he actually starts to openly respect FL, and they can be doctors together. Friends and colleagues.
Thou... If it's going to go that route, it's probably too friendly and nice - so I suspect that the guy will die in battle or after battle to his wounds.

This guy obviously likes her it was obvious how he kept trying to interact with her / then the dramatic scene of him running behind the carriage while she was leaving and now he enlists to follow her I hope he’s not bad cause i like him a bit — the ml needs someone to tone him down like he clearly is playing with her just to get a reaction
