One thing is that a certain character has an ideology and one thing is that the entire work of fiction is promoting. There are characters who promote totalitarianism in Star Wars, but the entire franchise is built as a way to fight that ideology. In the same way, we can also see a considerable critique to slavery just in one episode here. I wanted to see more. And I am saying this as someone from an ethnic minority that has also been persecuted and enslaved, having both native americans and black ancestors.
