it’s not like he’s doing anything ground-breaking by liking him: he’s not giving him a new life on a silver platter, he’s not buying him a new house to live in, he’s not saving him like a princess from his problems. sm shows his affection in small, believable ways for the amount of time they’ve know each other imo (ie. bg support & listening to him). it’s like, falling in LIKE fast, rather than LOVE. even with [redacted spoilers] it’s a coincidence. sm is just a refreshingly straightforward truck who’s direct with his feelings lol
