I'm not sure if that's what actually happened but I always have the impression that Sunwoo was in a witness protection programme or something and the reason why the family could get any information about him at all is because they're chaebols lol
Yeah they could make them meet up anyway, but I also got the impression that they were also protective of this boy who helped their son escape, and not letting him meet Yihyun in worry of breaking his heart knowing that the boy he helped now wants him dead instead, because clearly little Yihyun was unable to be reasoned with (mind that they never really meet Sunwoo and might not know how he would react or feel about all of this)
Yes, they COULD choose to be inconsiderate of Sunwoo out of love for Yihyun, but Yihyun could barely manage to function normally at all, so the "you can meet him, but only after you get a bit better" (which maybe like, 5 years?) sounds quite reasonable... for them
I see them as well-meaning but very out of the element about how to deal with mental instability and let the professionals do the most work. Less neglect and more ignorance, I think. But yes that could make things worse when dealing with mental health problems, sadly it happens too often in reality as well..
Yeah I'm still blaming them. Then being ignorant about their son's condition is on them. They have all the means to get adequate education they just didn't think it was important.
I'm blaming the parents, so you are telling me the parents couldn't arrange a single fucking meeting with MC because ML was too obsessed?? Ml looks half dead! They could have arranged body gaurds in case ML got violent or a barrier between and they could talk with a phone like they do in prison or sm. There were SO MANY alternatives and what did they do? They let his obsession fester and look now their son has kidnapped a (very willing) man!! Great work parents!! A+ on neglect and A+ on making their son even more unhinged
I 100% believe that ML wouldn't have turn out this bad if he got to have a closure with MC as a child
