It’s so sad to see a nuanced story like this get treated like it’s nothing but a cute and fluffy romance. They’ve not been shy about depicting the struggles both characters have with self image and the way others look at them. They’ve both commented on societal pressures and wanting to be better people (by both their own standards and the standards set forth by people around them). We knew that coming out was going to eventually be a hard topics. And like damn this chapter went out of its way to depict the way lying to others can destroy it a relationship but that doesn’t mean that it always will. I just wonder how some of y’all read these stories without fully understanding them or their themes.
