I actually like their dynamic like this. No Stockholm syndrome
ME TOO BRUH I spoke about that when the series first finished. I love it, and I actually hope that he never likes him back lmao. I love this dynamic because it’s like he has no option but to stay and accept him because if not, guess what he’d probably kill him. I love the reality of the abuser, accepting and knowing that your victim will most likely never love you back and how it’s even a lot to ask for affection reciprocated. I literally love this story. This is the first author to do something so good like this & not The usual Stockholm syndrome
People keep saying Illic is in love with Sayan and just in denial. I'm delusional too, but I honestly don't think that's the case, nor do I think he should be in love with Sayan. Illic is straight as hell. He's clearly drawn to Sayan's face because it's exceptionally beautiful, the kind of beauty that's traditionally associated with women. That's the only thing he like about Sayan. Admiring someone's appearance doesn't automatically make it romantic. Not to mention, Sayan is a mad man. If anything, it makes perfect sense for Illic not to fall for him. I do think Illic has feelings for Sayan, but I don't think they're romantic. It's hard to put into words, but "love" doesn't feel like the right label.
