well, it seems to be leading to that
i'm so glad this is being perceived more~ to be honest, sm's eyes always glaze over when he thinks about the past (ie. ch17 w/ his hangul learning book). we know his dad is important to him considering he used the nickname he got for him as his stage name (ch1). there are quite a few ppl that think sm knew jy in the past and is doing this drug research 'cause of him but i believe that something happened with his dad + h100 in brazil instead (which is why he's so empathetic to jy). excited to get more backstory for him ^^
Yes, that’s exactly what I’m thinking! But I can’t shake the feeling that there might be a plot twist where his dad turns out to be involved in the drug production. It would also explain why SM seems to be clinging so tightly to the few happy memories he has left of his dad. That kind of conflict would be absolutely heartbreaking. ╥﹏╥
I need to decipher the plot in this chapter as I always do but that ass-groping is really distracting.
I have a feeling SM mentioning his dad multiple times is intentional. It feels like subtle foreshadowing that’s slowly revealing pieces of his background and whatever happened in his past.
