Can we make it clear that not everyone who defended the author is racist? I am NOT racist, and I don't appreciate being called one just for expressing my point of view—condemning that phrase while noting that it would have been fine in a different context, and that the intention here wasn't to romanticize a "master and slave" dynamic, but rather a "cowboy (or whatever role the white guy has) and cowboy" one.
