he was raped, yes. there's no excuse for that, and the rapist is 100% at fault. but i'm still disappointed with this whole jealousy plot. the ML was only late because he was mentoring his juniors. going to a club to flirt with other guys just to make your partner jealous is already crossing a line. he knew it was wrong but still did it anyws. that’s already cheating (micro cheat or wtvr, still cheating at the end of the day, no matter the depth. you don’t do that when you’re in rs).

he also got drunk with a stranger until he blacked out. the world is full of creeps, so you still have to be responsible for your own safety. that doesn't make the rape his fault, but it doesn't mean his decisions before it can't be criticized either.

Even in real life, no matter what we do or how loudly we condemn rapists, they'll still exist. So the least we can do is stay cautious. It's sad and frustrating, but that's the reality we have to deal with, even if it's hard to accept.

But anyway, that's just my two cents. I know it was the ML. Just look at the hands—from someone wearing a watch to someone without one. The ML definitely showed up. But ts is still annoying af, bs plot I must say just to make the Mc learn his lesson.

Omg thank YOU sm for being the only one on this app who cab actually see nuance in a story
He can be a victim AND an asshole who intended to cheat on his partner
There is no such thing as “the perfect victim”

Exactly. That's all I've been trying to say. Calling him a victim doesn't mean we have to ignore the fact that he cheated. Those are two separate issues, acknowledging one doesn't erase the other.

    omg
I just see ppl saying one thing and ignoring the other
    Its either

“He is a whore who cheated and deserved it”

    Or

“He was abused and is completely innocent “

    Like

I fear this isnt a one dimensional discussion

Characters can be complex and flawed, and still be a victim. Its the case here

legit the only sane comment thread on this story. both arguments can be simultaneously true. also im p sure if the ml has cctv surveillance in the house, having gps tracker on the mc isn't much of a stretch.

Yeah, there are still people saying he didn't cheat, but that's ignoring the entire context. He literally went to a club with the intention of making his boyfriend jealous by flirting with other guys. The intent was already there. You don't have to kiss or sleep with someone for your actions to cross relationship boundaries. Emotional cheating and intentionally seeking romantic or sexual attention from others are still forms of betrayal.

He even admitted he knew what he was doing was wrong, yet he still did it. That wasn't a mistake made out of ignorance, it was a conscious choice. So no, I don't buy the "he didn't cheat" argument.

    Most definitely
Thats why i hate the fact yaoi became main stream and started attracting tiktokers who make this genre their whole content and indentity. It also ends up attracting minors.
There are bls out there that can be consumed by minors, but this one aint one of them
