I remember it was shonen ai for mosttt of the story (I read this years ago) and it was the author's first work. They kept it pg till they were in school, like all proper since they're minors. Im not sure if it transitions in ch34 or later tho, but you wouldn't be missing anything in the officials tho! ^^
