He actually didn't factor Cheol hating him He asked Cheol if he would still love him whatever he does except killing. And he believed Cheol. Like what his uncle said, he was conceited. He planned that 10yrs master plan but he thought they are still together in that 10yrs. Little did he know, Cheol is still tied up to his family. Cheol never really grew up. He's still a kid when it comes to his family. And one thing abt a kid is that they can never leave their family because he still needed them. That's y eventhough Cheol is taller and stronger than his father, he can't retaliate and just receive the beating.
