This work was so real and truthful on the way it depicted the high-class society as well as our present life. Thought the story there was a line that sticked with me "there's no way something like that would happen in the 21st century." This is something alot of people believe in when told about underground & illegal things that still occur to this day. But the truth is that it still occurs to this and sometimes even by the people who are supposed to protect you. It also reminds us how victims can turn into perpetrators who want someone to relate too. Its also a reminder for people that these kind of activities like kidnapping, human trafficking, enslavement, torture and then blaming the victim are all tragedies that still happen often by the rich and powerful towards those who have nothing and that its still happening right now. And the fact that people dont care about what doesn't effect them is also very true. In one of the chapters we see Geom calling out to stranger on the street about the fact that he was being kidnapped, raped and trafficked and person did nothing proves this as well as that government and police officials who are supposed to secure the safety of citizens aren't to be trusted as well. Also about the fact that the chairman bastard only got 5 years of sentence after all his misdeeds were exposed also shows how rich people or rich men get away after ruining several people's lives
I know that if geom was a woman or if the prosecutor was found with a woman people would give half as shit about it.

But Im so so so proud of Lee Geom being able to suffer through all that he has due to love(#1yearner right there you couldn't convince me otherwise).
Their love was truly worth crying over all this and I know that alot of people aren't satisfied by the ending but Im just happy that Geom is able to peacefully love and live with Wooyeon forever. Those is definitely a one read kind of story that a person wouldn't go back too.
Im lowk worried about the author(s) that wrote this and wonder if their okay cuz I certainly wouldn't be okay.
And if you wanna read the romantic fluff only start from chapter 74-75 that comfort was needed after all that trauma.
