I knew that they would (unfortunately) end up together, regardless of what valerie did, but I keep reading anyway because I thought at least there would be some thorough punishment and rejection valerie would have to face considering how they spend the last 50+ chapters having asil build a burning hatred and hopelessness of him ever returning valerie's feelings, so the transition becomes anticlimactic and immensely disappointing later on... :// (Fuckkk, i feel like i'm no better than jinx readers because wtf did I just read-)
