Hahah yeah S.Koreans are the main characters of their own world! I see a lot of themes in these comics where they are talking about, like... "playing on the same board as America" and I think its because of things like the IMF crisis that happened in 1997. A lot of Korean media is influenced by America now, so they are picking up similar themes of "one hero/country to save everyone else" bc that is how America portrays itself to countries it injects capitalism into !
I noticed that in level up webtoons korea always become the saviour of other countries lol I guess it makes sense
