Just my personal thoughts feel free to add on

In my opinion, naeun will most likely never be able to reach the heights of garams playing, because she doesn’t love piano and doesnt have much at stake. When garam plays, he pours his “soul” into the piece, because he loves music, which is what makes his playing so much more unique, and beautiful. Garam and naeun both want to prove themselves to heejae, but garam has a reason WHY. after all, prof heejae paid for his enrollment, and his parents never wanted him to become a pianist anyways. i think in his mind, he needs to push himself, because this is the only way he’ll ever be able to chase his dreams. However, naeun is privileged, she’ll always have the opportunity to play and share her craft, and so she struggles to emulate the type of emotion heejae wants. Theres no doubt that she’s passionate, but her inability to recognize the role piano plays in her life, her overall upbringing, as well as the lack of criticism shes received in the majority of her career, limit her growth as a musician. She’s self centered and very arrogant, but I also think that that makes her such a fascinating character, this is just my thoughts tho, sorry for the long rant heh…
