I don’t understand why people discuss morality in a fucking apocalyptic world.
The rule inside of the town is simple… plus using medicine that is probably scarce to save a children instead of saving it for the ones that look for food for me isn’t a bad idea and I’m even a teacher and I’ve a lot of respect for kids…

This is such a refreshing take on guwon's character. I only ever see people criticize teach but never guwon
The medicine thing isn’t the problem (although I think the punishment of death is wrong), it’s the way he recruits people to his home.
It’s hard to not put my morals on to this story when he kills people that he doesn’t need. The doctor has every right to take his revenge bc his wife and child got killed. Guwon could have just taken the doctor and not killed them but he didn’t other than the fact that they’re not useful for his home.

I think the reason for that is bc they’re trying to make teach be a bad guy and not an innocent victim, so they can easily ship him and guwon together.
I don't think it is fair to criticize Guwon for lacking social qualities of a human. I doubt Guwon is human. He does not seem to understand concepts like pain from grief. He understands pain from hunger, injury or being sick but not because you lost someone or the meaning of family members or what social bonds are, why people have friends . No one ever told him about it either. There is no malice behind his actions but ignorance.
Maybe teach will be the way for him to understand it. But it is not like he decided to be this way and knows the emotional pain he causes to others.
On the contrary, I don’t romanticize him. Because I’m not standing on how amazing he is or glorifying his behavior. I agree the doctor is allowed to seek revenge but I don’t think Guwon is moved by morality or social constructs but survival of the strongest (mentally, physically). Whatever bring stability or something to the colony.
Aside from that for me the hounds are worst than Guwon since they’ve showed lack of empathy, they have betrayed each other and that for me shows a deeper level of evilness than Guwon so far (with others not with Teach).

Is that a good excuse for his actions though? Because he’s not human or doesn’t know right from wrong?
Even if teach teaches him all of that is still doesn’t change the pain he causes for others.
I can’t tell where the direction of this story will going, but if there’s a way he’ll change his rules or have a bit of human decency in the future then maybe…MAYBE I’ll find him likable.
If the author is just going to keep him as a psychopath and not learn from his mistakes then he’s not that much different than other BL psychopaths that tend to be written poorly.

The HOUNDS are worse than guwon? Please just ask yourself how many people in their town had their loved ones killed to be in the town whether it’s by force or not? Or who made the rules of the town which if you break any of them it’s execution no other punishment except for that?
Mind you, the hounds are guwon’s servants and he designed them to be that. Guwon must of known of their actions but didn’t care bc they’re just like him. Please put aside his interactions with teach and focus on the characters around him.
Guwon is not psychopath. Psychopath knows the pain they cause and do it anyway. How could Guwon know what humans consider right and wrong? How could he even realize that killing a person causes emotional pain to those who were close to the deceased. He has no such concept. What matters is how he reacts once he learns this.
His actions are completely rational if you do not recognize emotional pain and only care about efficiency and physical wellbeing while completely ignoring any social and psychological needs.
I don’t like guwon. I don’t’ think he’s any different than the tops who rapes their bottom (not saying he rapes teach btw). Instead he just kills innocent people who aren’t necessary for his home and I think that’s the problem with this story especially if it’s ending where the teach will end up loving him in the future.
The doc families and the other people families in that town didn’t need to die, like guwon could have just taken the people he needed and spare the ones he didn’t but he just kills them instead. Children even.
Maybe he’ll be redeem if teach changes his mind? But even if that’s possible it still doesn’t change the pain and suffering he caused others. If this story was really good, I think the teach and guwon should separated.
