the novel ended with them separated iirc. doc stayed in their hide out outside rainbow city while he awaits for major to wake up from practically a coma. they only reunited in the side story, 6 months after. side story ended beautifully tho
close to the end. hope we get the side stories right away ╥﹏╥ this is gonna be bittersweet
