This comment singlehandedly made me reread 110 chapters of this hahaha
The brother just showed up again & they had Carol (informant) looking for him while they escaped to the North -- so unless he gets taken again, I'm confused why he would still be gone in chapter 130. I'll come back to that when I catch up fully.
And ur right. Her assumption he was working for the Crown Prince was so weird , and imo it came out of left field for me. It seemed like a really stupid conclusion to just suddenly Believe 100%, especially since she is shown to be kind of clever. Not to mention, she's just too overly convinced that no one would like her, for way too long into the story. I know insecurities are real -- but her insecurities kind of feel more like conveniently places obstacles for the ML to "overcome" rather than actual issues she is struggling with.
And the Empress... :
She is what I would describe as a "trash villain" so far. Idk if they will go into her backstory or anything last minute, but even then I'm unsure if it will make her more compelling. She's two dimensional, only being shown to us as someone cruel and demonic who acts perfect. She yearns to overthrow the entire world in darkness. And she says its all because she has a thirst for power that hasn't been quenched yet? Idk. Maybe it's realistic, but it feels so flat. She's like a flat soda of evil. Even the fact she remains calm when being thwarted and saying things like "I'm only a little surprised you managed this" just feels like a boring ragebait villain meant to try and piss off the readers. She's not even cool, so I don't enjoy seeing her on screen.

The art is gorgeous and the fl and ml are cute together… and that’s basically it. Plot is ok but in my opinion the premise of the empress being the villain is so unrealistic. Like you want to destroy the empire and rule with a dragon? Everyone’s going to die dude
Also First half of the story was SO full of miscommunication, fl was oblivious to ml feelings because she assumed he and the crown prince were working together. Like i can see how she assumed that but it’s so frustrating.
And in recent chapters im so??? Confused about them not searching for the brother?? The father was so worried before, as well, so I’m so disappointed in the family’s lack of worry…
