If I remember correctly from the novel, he should have been like 20 or 21 and it was considered coming of age or something. Could be just the translation tho.

Wish I could read this (maybe it’s better I can’t?) but dude’s 18 He was 17 that whole time before n they slept together the day he turned 18… I thought he was at least 19 turning 20 but assuming ml is in his 30’s still a weird age gap. 17-18 yr olds do not get with people in their 30’s or so
