It is toxic, but more so psychologically. It’s not your typical slop. Both mc and ml have a lot of baggage and shared history/trauma but they’re both unreliable narrators and suck at relationships and communication ┗( T﹏T )┛

Nooope not slop. I wouldn't say there is rape it's more like coercion/dub con and it itself is realistic (in my opinion) and also the story is really good but if you're reading mostly for the romance/yaoi aspect maybe let it marinate cuz rn it's mostly their back story and there's little romance. I mean the story as a whole is more physcological horror about the 2 mcs' lives with yaoi sub plot that ties everything together (as in I think the most romance we'll get is in the end (if there is a happy ending))

Also in my opinion the dub con isn't like other yaoi slop (if I'm understanding ur question correctly) where it's just thrown under the rug and the assaulter has no real reason to be doing it aside from just being a pos. Hope U read it

season 1 finale is def rape tho . i appreciate how it gets the victims mindset and ya ppl should not be reading this for the romance lmaoaao but u said it so well !
