Everyone in the comments are actually miserable LOL. Yall just moan about anything. "No Romance" mfs, we just reached that stage?? You read 40+ chapters and still havent figured out that ML isnt someone who entertains romance in sexual only relationships, that he struggles with his emotions?
All characters are good imo, feelings cant be changed and they are all different individuals. Romance/relationship between the MC and the friend wouldn't have worked. MC saw him as a friend only, his closest friend. Feelings would of never occurred between them.
