This was such a sweet story, they had their ups and downs back in college as well, everything happening in the new season didn't have to happen. The issue with Grandfather could have ended with just cutting ties, but the author just had to drag it. Most of the things happening in the new season don't even make sense. It's so disappointing to see the sweetest story I've ever read to be ruined just because the author wants to drag it (or whoever is forcing the author to drag it).
