It's really not, tho? Telling young children their mom died because of the King with no solid proof just takes one slip up before the guillotine gets sharpened. Those kids will have to attend whatever schooling that's necessary with potential royals and people who support the royals. Politics is huge in these communities and any perceived slight made against the king would be enough justification.
no i understand that part but not telling the kids that theyre marrying out of their mom’s last wishes and NOT cuz they love each other is insane. like ofc theyre going to think their dad betrayed their mom if they see everything without context. its not hard to just tell them “we got married because your mom wished for me to take care of you, there’s nothing between your dad and i” to prevent all these dumb misunderstandings
