The ML are both F'ed up but I'm really mad the MC chose the drug pimp that pushed him into prison carrying drugs up his a hole.
I really suggest you reread chapter 1-3. Chapter 1 states MC has always been in and out of prison. He would do some delivery drug jobs for ML because he wanted lots of money for his brother and his dream of opening a bakery. ML hired him after MC had a criminal record. ML already rejected making MC be the one to do it in chapter 2. MC insisted it must be him. ML is the one that wanted him to give up on the job and even tried to scare him to try to get him to not do it. MC is the one that continuously tried getting into jail and wanting to do the drug job. He literally stated his reasoning was because he stabbed someone, his brother is involved, and he doesn’t want to give money for the settlement- but he doesn’t want it to cause a problem for his brother.
So you misremembered everything. ML NEVER pushed him into prison to carry the drugs. From the very start it was MC that kept pestering ML, wanting to take the big job for more money. ML kept trying to say no, but gave in.
also to add as for the prosecutor he basically SA’d him, along with basically forcing him to be with him when he’s visibly uncomfortable, oh and dont forget the blackmailing where he said hell send him back to jail for not marrying him. so i cant say i sympathize with that guy at all. so all in all the pervy old man (ML if u remember) sounds way better lol
