You make it seem like it’s a crime for her to decide to keep it, and personally, I think you’re criticizing her just for making that choice. There is no gratification in children becoming pregnant here. The author is simply showing a decision that the FL made, and sadly, these are the consequences she now has to face in reality. Also, the author is showing that even if you make these mistakes, you don’t always have to choose abortion just because you are in a difficult predicament. That’s just how life goes, and it is hard sometimes. I personally think the FL was incredibly mature about the situation and took responsibility for her choice.
