The storys pretty guessable so yeah he was probably not expecting it and prolly regretted leaving her alone. I can guess he never even geniunely hated her but was just petty about something that happened decades ago. Im guessing the saint/someone from the imperial palace wanted her dead. Also he might have also been the one to turn back time. And he mightve also gone crazy after her death. Holy its so fking dull and repetetive.

Yeah this asshat finds out, clings to her body while slaughtering all the butters and maids. Then proceeds to almost kill the fuckin baby, snaps back to reality and kills himself in front of the baby with dead fmc in his arms. Shitty asssshole I HATE HIM

Yes almost, and the baby actually receives his memories from his first life. In the side stories he’s literally initially scared of his father and was surprised when he attended his birthday party in this new timeline. Only reason he was no longer scared is because fmc coaxing him. Like GIRLLLLl
