Shounen are almost never have female mc, most of them write women worse than AI. Not to mention that just because it's a shounen doesn't mean it's going to be well-written or that the romance won't get in the way. But of course, it would be difficult for your two brain cells to understand, considering that one of them is inhibitory.

Shoujo authors need to stop making good plots become shit for romance. There's is no need for such drama ou for a male lead at all, having a strong mc who cuts off the heads of her enemies is more than enough. This story would be much better if she had gone after her ex-fiance and killed him and his family, burned that damn city and seized the power over the island, than this pathetic mc who can do nothing and that even got close to the brother of the man who killed her family. Enough with bullshit shoujos.
