he is SOOOO ANNOYING NOW FUCK!!! the sudden switch up in personality doesn't make sense and it is frustratinggggg me. their "traditional" archetypes i mentioned were maxed out to the point that it's annoying.
it was cute initially, but FL always falling into trouble but unable to do anything to protect herself grows frustrating... though i do understand how it becomes the setting context/build up to her discovering that she actually has the most powerful and rare type of magic affinity in the world. :/ Bunny-chick pro max personality with ZERO backbone because she is literally being held captive by ML (who is suddenly obsessed with her) and she's still trying to understand and protect him???? "oh nooo he's gonna be so worried about me if i leave ughhh should i even be mad at him uwu uwu" FUCK. and how is not chaining her to a pole (what he did to ogFL originally) any different with deliberately not healing her injuries so she can't properly move????? what the hell. and FL going "i'm probably the main lead of this story now oopsie!" was anticlimactic LOL how did she take that in stride when this whole time she wanted to survive.
and ML on the other hand..... i've lost interest in him -____- the switch up to obsession and locking her up because he doesn't anyone else knowing her power potential, and because "she's safer here with me where i can protect her" UGHHHHH YAWN. major eye roll. though technically he /is/ back to his original novel personality as he's done all the things he did to ogFL.
as of reading they're still in captivity yandere arc but FL now realized what her affinity can do. i wish FL would get mad at ML for doing all these but it's obviously not gonna happen! reading this is starting to grate me but i'm thankful there are enough chapters for me to binge. if i was reading as it was updated, i would have dropped at this point. now i'm just curious to see how they'll resolve this! and how FL utilizes her affinity to become powerful.
and i'm looooving the progression of their relationship. so so cute!! it's giving 썸/ mutual understanding vibes xD
the story and style is very... Bright and unconventional for a villainess story. though at this point it doesn't feel like a typical villainess story and more of one that shows the human side of the usual villains, and switching the narrative to "oh this whole time the criminals are the good guys and the pure main characters were secretly evil this whole time."
the tropes are rather traditional for lack of better term, bunny-chick type FL who needs protection and powerful outcast protector ML. the one thing unique about him is that he isn't cold towards FL and is veryyy very sweet and attentive towards her. the art makes it all look really cute because in some scenes he's drawn just always staring at her no matter what she does :3 adorbs!!!
