I just read it all so Let me summarize
Theo's mom worked for the Greens (human rights lawyers) and when she wanted to go back to Korea and Teo didn't he stayed in NYC bc the Greens took him in. Their son didn't like that so Theo and he acted like they had no connection at all, but somehow Theo's ex claimed through jis window and found out. Later on the other friend who's working in Hollywood (currently working on the same project as Dylan) joined them and they became a trio. The toxic ex fell for Theo and their feeling were mutual but the Green's son hated Theos guts so he stressed them. But the actual problem ist that theos ex is poor and lived with his drug head dead who cooked meth at home. With Theo wanting to study law at some ivy league college the toxic ex decided to take on drug jobs from K so that he could offer Theo something and support him in college (which Theo never wanted). The ex pulled a gun on someone a day before prom and then disappeared. Later on Theo took him on as a client as they reunited and helped him rehab from his gang live as they dated again, but the ex left again for drug jobs bc of his inferiority complex when he saw Theo with his colleagues and did have the courage to approach bc he himself only worked as a cashier. There was a bot of an overlap with the ex doing the drug obs and still dating Theo but I think things ended when the ex physically assaulted Theo while high bc he thought Theo was cheating.
So the story starts with Theo getting tired of his toxic ex and the place they lived in together, and wanting to move. But most important he always wanted to buy the House the Greens lived in eith him bc its the only memory he has left of his mom who died around the time he passed his bar exam in Korea. So Theo somehow meets Dylan at a party of Theo's real estate friend (glasses guy) and they're about to have a ONS, but a paparazzi takes a picture and Theos off to confiscate the SD card. Somehow Dylans manager noticed the ordeal and he proposes a Deal to Theo that includes Theo living with Dylan in order to supervise him at home bc Dylan lives like a playboy+drugs (and he had ONSs with people that reminded him of theo) which isn't nice press. That deal includes Theo getting the Green's house which he cannot afford bc the Green's Don doesn't want to sell it to him and cracked up the price. Somehow Theo and Dylan become roomies with benefits bc it includes Dylan not ringing druggie home and both fall for each other but it's complicated bc Theos ex appears again and he forces himself on Theo in order to get a reaction out of him. There are moments where Theo talkes about toxic relationships and how uts better to nip it in the bud when it was about his clients, but he himself doesn't manage to do it when it comes to his toxic relationship with his ex. Well when his ex pulled a gun on a drunk bypassedwhen Theo was with him Theo realizes that there's nothing left of the person he loved in his ex currently and he wants to walk away but the ex shoots him by affect. He then brings him to glasses guy to pitch him up. Ex Mets up with the Hollywood friend to get him clean? Any ways Theo and Dylan start dating when Dylan is visiting new York on a break from filming. He's currently filming with a director he admires, but it's a queen thriller and his costar is a guy that wants to see Dylan at his breaking point (one sided live turned toxic) and the Director who's into voyeurism and sadistic ig wants to help that guy. (Green eyes, brown hair goes by Lucas I belive). So they wanna hurt Dylan. At the same time at Theos law firm there's a case emerging that's against Saud director for abusing his actors in set.

AHHHH THANK U! Honestly I forgot most of the back story so this really helped me. I forgot Dylan was like a slut premeeting Theo and Theo had a ex I totally forgot about that. I think this story took a really long hiatus and I couldn’t for the life of me remember this plot. So it’s safe to say Theos ex is out of the picture for good? Or do u think he’ll come back up? And does Dylan know about theos ex forcing himself on Theo? I’d say the relationship rn between Theo and Dylan is good tho not angsty, the only thing angsty is there backstories
Dylan knows about Theos ex only to the degree that Theo has baggage and that his friends contacted theo about him (the message were deleted by jealous Dylan). Dylan also noticed the hickeys from when the ex forced himself on Theo the first time, but Theo only said hes not seeing anyone else beside Dylan. I think the Ex will be coming up again, but hopefully once he's actually clean of both drugs and crime? He may be material for a side Story.
Right now I'm more scared about what kind of shit the people Dylan is working with are planning.
