Indeed! Like this is peak af. I'm glad I read this despite of many warnings from TikTok hahahahaha
definitely not the first story of its kind, but if you havent read it yet and are okay with the themes (you know, rape, gore, etc), then ignoring the main story, it makes a great read. there are also some other factors that made this a BEAUTIFUL read for me (it was 3am and i just had a good breakdown session so my feels were sensitive), but it was oh so refreshing to see that progression.
AND i might be a bit more affected than the average reader because Ricky reminds me of Lee Minhyuk from this BL called “Legs That Won’t Walk” which is another unforgettable read for me. <spoiler-ish> hes the second male lead in that manhwa, so of course, no matter how much I begged the stars, he didnt have a chance with the MC. SO AGAIN, Ricky and MC here had me IN TEARS BECAUSE IT WORKED OUT ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ the toxicity and angst was perfect and… AND… i dont know, i cant find anymore words ill get back to reading haha good day!
right?! and so unexpected too!! did NOT see that gorgeous side story coming based off of that main story (▰˘◡˘▰)
how about an applause for the most beautiful and actually sensical special side story ever? and you know what? im going to imagine all of that side story ACTUALLY happened in the main story because the main story is absolute garbage. Gods, i had been rooting for Ricky since the beginning and to see that come to life is EVERYTHING. not to mention that CHARACTER development? oh, please hand me jang’s ass id love to kiss it. now this can go down in my autobiography as one of my favorite reads ever. if i just ignore chapter 18 onwards of the main story, then this was simply beautiful. BEAUTIFUL! Unforgettable. (and no you cant come for me saying i clearly havent read enough or i have bad taste in literature because i can have opinions too,)
now, to erase my memories just to read this for the first time again.. (▰˘◡˘▰)
