For me its more like the romance had developed too far for 7 yo. Itll be okay if they finish the problems with the family first and continue the romance after several years timeskip, maybe 12 yo or smth
not being involved with anyone romantically and just remaining as really close friends with her peers until they are all teens, is also an option btw

If we really think about it. She never was able to be a kid in her past life seeing how she was a prodigy at a young age.. And she definitely have mommy issues seeing as she desperately cling to Mehine to her mommy...
