    Yeah, they'll have bits of differences, but the reader also caused the protagonist great pain by his words even tho he didn't mean it, and he was sent into the story to help the protagonist out. I think that's about it

    Nah I think they have bits of similarities and mostly different. The main characters have totally different backstories, goals and plot. This is a death game, that is like a fantasy setting. Plus it’s a totally different tone (I’ve reread that multiple times so I’m being nit picky)

    Personally they aren’t similar enough for me to put them in the same trope. Tho another similarity might be the ml becoming overly possessive and clingy to the main character. But other than that they are completely different.

    I wanna be a big baddie gives similar vibes to this. BUT I agree the reader and protagonist have to be in true love is awesome and a great recommendation. U have great taste (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
