The dude wants people to stop babying him. Tsubaki and haruki’s dad is doing exactly that but the guy that used his daughter is targeting haruki himself because he has an obsession with haruki’s late mother. Even if he tried to do as they said, the guy targeting him would just find a way to him, like he did when he propositioned haruki’s father to set his daughter up with haruki. Haruki feels responsible to protect his people and since him and that girl got close, he sees her as his people too now. He’s also not weak so don’t worry, he handles himself just fine!
