I thought exactly the same thing, and that chapter was so frustrating. The teacher just decided “I’m going with the Hounds ?” And ?? that it? No plan of action? Didn’t he even prepare for the simple possibility that someone might suspect him? His face literally said "Yes, You found I plan to kill you". He’d already messed up a bit by taking out the doctor’s ring. Seriously, did he have to make it so obvious? And the girl (personally, I think she’s pretty) did she have to say Guwon’s full name? Everything’s a mess, and honestly, the teacher is just way too lucky.

This is exactly it! Teach literally put all his stakes on pure luck and a temporary physical attraction in the middle of a literal apocalypse! He really thought he could just leverage Guwon's obsession with him to survive. Personally? Risking the fate of the entire village just to bet your body on someone who has zero moral compass or human empathy is wild! If you actually claim to have the moral high ground and you're fighting to save humanity, you need to be smart and real about your goals! You can't just cry, whine, and gaslight him into thinking you're innocent just so Guwon won't end you!
Like, you easily could’ve mind-gamed Guwon into being more merciful and following your strategy instead of trying to completely wipe him and the Hounds out!
