I can see why you feel this way about the manhwa this is an adaptation of a novel and ngl this is a pretty good adaptation but there are some things in the novel which cannot be adapted in the manhwa, the novel develops their relationship really good and naturally in this aspect manhwa falls a bit behind cuz they cannot adapt all the narration and inner monologues in comic format (they kinda cut out a lot of romantic moments too tho) I love this manhwa regardless but I would recommend reading the novel it's better story and romance wise imo
When I first read this manhwa I actually felt the same as you but when I read the novel (from start) it was a whole different experience the art is really good but tbh manhwa don't do the novel justice imo and it feels like they're speed running the plot and cutting out a lot of scenes
…I didn’t want to say this but it’s lowkey reminding me of Passion. Definitely not because of the toxicity, but rather bc of the randomness of their interactions. It feels like they act a certain way only because they’re MEANT to develop feelings for each other, but I don’t think the author has been doing it well. Idk if I’m making myself clear, but it’s like the reactions to certain actions don’t match the tone of said actions, which sometimes are even “ignored”? Not only that, certain conversations (not necessarily between the two of them) are weirdly over the top (I hope u understand I’m not saying there can’t be over the top stuff, I’m just confused as to why it is so prominent even in circumstances it doesn’t really fit in). Idk how else to say this for now it’s the first time I’m putting this into words. And again, pls don’t come at me, I just want to know if at least one other person has been getting the same vibes as me, and what’s your take on this in general! (btw I’m on ch 44)
